Yes, you can new have a Harajuku inspired dinner of course in a Japanese restaurant yet in the US: no need to travel al the way to Harajuku Tokyo!

SushiSamba Rio, 504 N. Wells St.; 312-595-2300 organises a special Harajuku evening once a week called Harajuku Thursday.

Harajuku Thursday is a similar concept like Gwen Stefani found her inspiration for her Harajuku Lovers fashion line in the Harajuku Clothes from this Tokyo district.

Likewise: Harajuku Thursday offers Japanese street culture enjoyed with food and drink specials (like $18 sake flights (four)) of course served on Japanese pop beats, with exotic dancers and anime projections.

Each Harajuku evening starts at 11pm, so not really a dining experience I find…
