1969, October 3 : born in Orange County, California as Gwen Renée Stefani
1987 : Gwen’s brother Eric starts his band No Doubt with friend John Spence. Gwen Stefani joins as co-vocalist with Spence.
1987: Spence commits suicide, Gwen Stefani becomes lead vocalist.
1989: two new members join No Doubt : guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young.
1990: Flea, the bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, records a demo for No Doubt, which led to their signing with Interscope Records.

1992: No Doubt releases their self-titled debut, yet the album was far from a commercial success.
1995: No Doubt records a collection of extra songs they have written: The Beacon Street Collection
1995: Eric Stefani leaves No Doubt to become an animator on The Simpsons.
1995: A new record, Tragic Kingdom breaks through the charts with its debut single, "Just A Girl", followed by hits like "Spiderwebs"
and the super smash hit, "Don’t Speak". The album becomes a Billboard Number One, and garners two Grammy nominations for No Doubt.
2000: No Doubt releases Return of Saturn with hits like "Ex-Girlfriend" and "Simple Kind of Life".
2002: Gwen Stefani marries English rocker Gavin Rossdale on September 14 in London, becoming stepmother to Gavin’s 16-year-old daughter, Daisy Lowe.
2003: Gwen Stefani debuted her clothing line L.A.M.B.
2004: Gwen Stefani records her first solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. L.A.M.B is inspired by music of the 1980s with hits like "Hollaback Girl" becoming the first U.S. digital download to sell one million copies.
2005: Gwen Stefani expands her LAMB clothing collection with the Harajuku Lovers line. Harajuku Clothes are inspired by Japanese culture and fashion. Gwen Stefani performs and makes public appearances with her four back-up dancers : the Harajuku Girls.
2006: Gwen Stefani records The Sweet Escape and her son Kignston is born.

The Harajuku style named after this Harajuku district of Tokyo, combines a wide range of diverse influences. There are many fashion styles, and many different groups who spend time in this area.
